Splodey-dope Faisal Shazad (aka Times Square Bomber) update

It seems that Shahzad told a US Attorney that he intended to keep blowing stuff up until he was either dead or caught.

Mr. Bharara’s office also revealed that Mr. Shahzad told the authorities after his arrest on May 3 that he planned to detonate a second bomb in New York City two weeks later, and was prepared to conduct more attacks until he was captured or killed, the document shows.

The story reveals a little more about his ties to the Taliban as well.

It said that in the period leading up to the bombing attempt, Mr. Shahzad stayed in regular contact with the Taliban over the Internet, using software programs the Taliban installed on his laptop computer while he was training with them in Pakistan. The programs were not identified.

He communicated with his Taliban associates about the bomb he was building and the Nissan Pathfinder he had bought, as well as other topics, the government said.

Sentencing is Tuesday.  That was fast, eh?

Rabbit Trail #4

YouTube searches of related names/organizations

YT list on search Ghurabaa

YT list on search – The Saved Sect

Again – some lovely targets there!

…………..

Backstory from UNDhimmi.  UNDhimmi also gave us this tip:

Al Ghurabaa is a splinter group of Al-Muhajiroun and disseminates materials that glorify acts of terrorism.

Note: The [British] Government laid an Order in January 2010 which provides that Al Muhajiroun, Islam4UK, Call to Submission, Islamic Path and London School of Sharia should be treated as alternative names for the organisation which is already proscribed under the names Al Ghurabaa and The Saved Sect.

In other words, these names are all synonymous with terrorism.  The name I recognized most readily of that group was Islam4UK.

H/T and thanks for the help going out to  UNDhimmi and Andrea.

So many rabbit trails, so little time

No new news on the SalafiMedia.com site so far today.  Yesterday I did send examples with screenshots to explain why I believe the site should be removed from BlueHost’s servers.  I imagine that it takes a while for an ISP to do that — and I also imagine that the more complaints they receive, the greater the likelihood that there will be follow-through.  If you’re up for it, please contact abuse@bluehost.com with a complaint!

So last night I was playing around a bit on the SalafiMedia site and found some rabbit trails.  Another friend was playing too, and I’ll be chasing some of these down as I have time.

Rabbit trail #1:

When I mouseover links to the videos at the SalafiMedia, I see in the bottom of my screen on the taskbar that it is transferring information from another site:  salafihd.com.  It appears from a googlecache of that site to be a German version of SalafiMedia.com.

The tracer route shows that it returns to Hostmonster/Bluehost.  It is my intent to send a complaint about this site as soon as I have confirmation from Bluehost that the English version is removed.

Rabbit trail #2:

When I mouseover the link to one of the promoted sites that’s in the scrolling squares at the bottom of SalafiMedia’s home page, I see a link in my taskbar to alghurabaa.org.  This site hosts many video and audio recording of Sheiks and Imams including Anwar Al-Awlaki, the  Al Qaeda-linked cleric who’s hiding out in Yemen after inspiring multiple terrorism attacks here in the US.

I ran some checks and found that alghurabaa.org is hosted by Dreamhost on US servers.

Dreamhost has the standard Terms of Service agreements which include a paragraph about using their services only for a “Lawful Purpose.”

Because Anwar Al-Awlaki is a fugitive from U.S. justice and there are Executive Orders in place which prohibit any aid or support, material or otherwise, being given to him as a terrorist, it is illegal for DreamHost to be hosting and allowing dissemination of these videos.   Send your complaints to abuse@dreamhost.com.  Make sure to remind them how “illegal” violates their Terms of Service as that seems to be more important to them than that they are doing something illegal.

More rabbit trails to come later today.

US ISP Bluehost is home to SalafiMedia.com terrorists UPDATE: PWN3D

From UNDhimmi:

UK Terror Supporter Choudary in Jihad TV Station, YouTube Channel Launch

British terror nuts are planning to launch a new hate-filled TV station.

Vile Muslim extremists will use the evil network to call their supporters to “the battlefield”.

The internet station will include live broadcasts from preachers of hate such as Anjem Choudary and Omar Bakri Muhammad. And its organisers are even advertising sermons from a convicted terrorist.

The scheme was unveiled in a video posted on YouTube by a group calling itself Salafi Media.com.Opening titles feature the sound of guns being cocked and automatic weapons being fired.

One of those expected to appear is Brit Muslim Shah Jalal Hussain, who was jailed in 2008 for raising funds for terrorist groups in Iraq.

He will be joined by Saiful Islam, said to have organised an anti-troops demo in Luton last year. London-based Choudary has already used a similar web channel in the US to threaten: “There are many battlefields, my dear Muslims.

“There’s a battlefield in Bethnal Green and Whitechapel – there’s a battlefield outside 10 Downing Street.”

The Home Office said the site was being monitored. A spokesman added: “It contains material which would be illegal if it were hosted in the UK. This site is hosted in the US.

Maybe we should do something about that, huh?  I decided to look into just who in the US would host such a site and it didn’t take long to find out.

So it’s “Bluehost.”  I took a quick look at their terms of service and they are pretty standard.  A few of the points of interest are these:

No Subscriber may utilize the Services to provide, sell or offer to sell the following: controlled substances; illegal drugs and drug contraband; weapons; pirated materials; instructions on making, assembling or obtaining illegal goods or weapons to attack others; information used to violate the copyright(s) of, violate the trademark(s) of or to destroy others’ intellectual property or information; information used to illegally harm any people or animals; pornography, nudity, sexual products, programs or services; escort services or other content deemed adult related.

Obscene, Defamatory, Abusive or Threatening Language. Use of the Services to store, post, transmit, display or otherwise make available obscene, defamatory, harassing, abusive or threatening language is prohibited.

Other Activities. Engaging in any activity that, in BlueHost.Com’s sole and absolute discretion, disrupts, interferes with or is harmful to (or threatens to disrupt, interfere with, or be harmful to) the Services, BlueHost.Com’s business, operations, reputation, goodwill, Subscribers and/or Subscriber relations, or the ability of BlueHost.Com’s Subscribers to effectively use the Services is prohibited. In addition, the failure of Subscriber to cooperate with BlueHost.Com in correcting or preventing violations of these Terms by, or that result from the activity of, a subscriber, patron, customer, invitee, visitor, or guest of the Subscriber constitutes a violation of these Terms by Subscriber.

And finally…

Lots of blah blah blah, except that as a convicted terrorist, Shah Jalal Hussain would be prohibited from having a platform based out of the United States.  Anyone out there want to join me in contacting abuse@bluehost.com to let them know who they are hosting?  Most likely they have no idea.

Let’s roll!!

Update:

Bluehost claims that salafimedia.com is not hosted by them.  I pointed them to the check I ran and asked if there was something I had missed, but their response was only

Again this domain (salafimedia.com) is not registered with us nor is the content hosted by use.

Regards,

A friend ran a tracer route this morning that led to Hostmonster.com which, according to the same search site, is hosted by….drum roll…Bluehost.com.  Still emailing with them.  Will keep you all posted.

Update 2:

Ran my own tracer routes.

Update 3:

Bluehost sent an apology and asked for evidence of illegal activity.  I have to say, they are VERY responsive!  Much better than most ISPs that I have dealt with.

Update 4:

After a few back and forth emails in which I supplied them with adequate evidence of illegal activity, BlueHost appears to have suspended the salafimedia.com website.  Thanks to all who helped with this effort!

Update 4:

Not so sure – a reader alerted us that the site is back up.  We’ll keep watching.

Jimmy Carter the traitor is ill

“The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer”
-Theodore Roosevelt

From KSDK.com:

CLEVELAND (AP) – An airport spokeswoman in Cleveland says Jimmy Carter was taken off a plane by rescue crews and taken to a hospital.

Jackie Mayo, a spokeswoman at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, says the 85-year-old former president was a passenger on a Delta flight to Cleveland late Tuesday morning and became ill.

Mayo says she has no information on Carter’s symptoms. He was taken to MetroHealth Hospital, where a spokeswoman said no information was available.

Carter has been traveling to promote his new book, “White House Diary,” which was released last week. The website for Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Cleveland says he was scheduled to appear at 1 p.m. Tuesday to sign and talk about the book.

This one’s a toughie for me.  I want him to shut up with his idiotic pro-Hamas anti-Israel blathering, but don’t necessarily rejoice in his illness. It’s tricky to be glad for justice, when you know you’re not perfect yourself.  But in my opinion, the man is a traitor to this country and so I am glad that he is at least temporarily unable to spread his bologna.

Update from KSDK.com:

CLEVELAND (AP) – Former President Jimmy Carter, on a trip promoting his new book, developed an upset stomach on a flight to Cleveland anf was taken to a hospital for observation, officials said.

Carter was taken to MetroHealth Hospital, where he was resting comfortably, according to the Carter Center, his Atlanta-based think tank. The center said he is expected to resume his book tour this week.

Carter, 85, was a passenger on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Cleveland when he became ill. Upon landing, he was taken off the plane by rescue crews, said Jackie Mayo, a spokeswoman at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

More at the source.  I can understand his upset stomach.  If I was spouting all that traitorous hogwash I think I’d feel ill, too.

Disgusting pigs – guess who?

Those dang Lutherans are at it again.  Ok – I have heard all about their belief that child marriage is ok, but this video over at Kitman TV takes the cake. “Temporary marriage” is a whackjob’s justification for rape of anyone – pure and simple.  And by anyone, I mean even a breastfeeding baby.  As long as the baby is female, of course.  They DO have their standards, for crying out loud.

“A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, other sexual act such as forplay, rubbing, kissing and sodomy is allowed. A man having intercourse with a girl younger than nine years of age has not comitted a crime, but only an infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl, however, is permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man’s four permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl’s sister.”

Wait – it IS the Lutherans, right?

New York Primary Day Mess

Just some random things.  First – was informed via email that a friend‘s boyfriend went to vote and there were no Republican voting slips.

Just wanted to let everyone know that no voting sheets for Republicans were brought to my boyfriend’s packed polling station in Sunset Park, Brooklyn last night. They were just ‘never brought.’

So he made them produce a makeshift one for him so he could vote.  I wonder how widespread this was throughout the boroughs and in other immigrant-heavy precincts.

That’s a “people on the street” view.  Surely not typical, right? Well…

New York Post

…The poll worker who looked up my name handed me a card indicating I was a Democratic primary voter. I said, “No, ma’am, I’m voting in the Republican primary.”

She looked at me with a compassionate smile. “No, this is a Democratic primary,” she said. “I believe the Republican primary is in November .”

“No, ma’am,” I said, “there’s a Republican primary too today.”

“I don’t think so,” she said cheerfully.

“Trust me,” I said. “Look, there are the Republican voter cards.” There were three piles on the table — a pile of green cards for Democrats, a pile of gray cards for Conservative Party voters and a pile of red cards for Republicans.

The Republican pile was still sealed, indicating that I was the first person in Precinct 89 to ask for one. The polls had been open for two hours and 20 minutes. This seemed a remarkable fact, until she informed me that I was voter No. 18 — the 18th person to vote in my precinct, for an average of seven an hour.

After all that was settled, I asked for a Republican ballot. “Oh, we don’t have any of those,” the poll worker said.

“There must be some,” I said.

She turned to one of her colleagues. “Go ask Neil.”

Her colleague immediately took offense. “You’re talking to me the way you talk to him!” she raged, pointing at me.

The first poll worker was unperturbed. “I just said to go ask Neil.”

“I don’t need to ask Neil,” said the second. I was getting a little anxious about the time.

The second poll worker looked through a file cabinet and found a pile of papers wrapped in plastic. “These are them,” she said, and slammed the pile down.

And then there’s this from the WSJ:

The mayor said City Hall received reports of broken and missing scanners, poor customer service and poll sites opening two to four hours late. While other counties across the state experienced similar problems, Mr. Bloomberg suggested the incidents were most severe within the five boroughs.

“It’s completely unacceptable,” said Mr. Bloomberg, referring to the Board of Elections. “There is a total absence of accountability for how the board performed on Election Day—because the board is a remnant of the days when Tammany Hall ran New York.”

Sounds like an unqualified disaster.
