In what has become “same-old same-old,” another would-be bomber has been arrested in New York.  Don’t get me wrong – I’m glad they got him.  But what’s become monotonous is his story.

From the Sydney Morning Herald:

A convert to radical Islam who was inspired by the late Yemeni-based cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, 27-year-old Jose Pimentel was planning to target police, postal workers and returning armed services personnel with small home-made pipe bombs, according to New York police authorities.

According to authorities, Pimentel, who had lived almost all his life in the US, had become a follower of the US-born al-Awlaki, who rose to become a top figure in al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and was killed in a US drone strike in Yemen last month. They said Pimentel had tried to contact al-Awlaki directly, but never got a response.

And where do you think is the easiest place to hear al-Awlaki lectures?   YouTube…  but of course!  The terrorists have their videos hosted for free, set up their little terrorist websites for all their little terrorist buddies, and then link to or embed the videos –hosted for free– on their sites so their little terrorist buddies can get all jazzed up and get violent.  Lovely!
C’mon YouTube – it’s about time to man up.  How many more of these guys are going to get nuts before you remove this stuff?  Seriously?  What does it take for you to agree it’s a threat?
….
UPDATE:  I was more on target than I knew!  I found a link to his blog, which currently is still online.  (here:  http://www.trueislam1.com/). I expect that it will be taken down soon – already it appears that there are some broken links to photos.  (?)  But I took a few screen caps of interest.
This is the header of the site – check out the other websites he recommended.  I’m sure the FBI is checking them out too.  Below, you can see the kinds of things that adorned the left and right sides of his blog — little boxes with videos of his favorite terrorists.  There are numerous one and I took several caps.  You can see a couple samples:
And – what’s that?? He was a YouTube user??  Say it ain’t so, Joe!  Are we shocked?  I think not.
