Pimentel, “Jihad Princess”, Google and Joe Lieberman

So, we established yesterday that Jose Pimentel aka Muhammad Yusuf was a YouTube user — specifically mujahidfisabillilah1.  Today his website, http://www.trueislam1.com/, has been removed as has his YouTube account.

Possibly this is in response to Joe Lieberman’s demand for better ways to police Google’s Blogger platform, which is where Pimentel’s blog was hosted.  (Well THERE’S a surprise – NOT!)  Lieberman is asking for is a flagging system so that readers can bring terrorist websites that are hosted at Blogger to their attention.  Right now, if you see an offensive site, you can send an email to Google complaining of terms of service violations, etc.  It exists.  All Mr. Lieberman wants is to make that process a little easier.  Oh.  And he’d like Google to actually state explicitly that terrorist content is against their terms of service.

“Through your updated YouTube standards, Google has affirmatively stated that terrorist content will not be permitted on some of your sites. I strongly believe that Google should expand that standard to include your other platforms.”

Pimentel hooked up with “Jihad Princess” at YouTube.  He promoted her YouTube channel at his Blogger-hosted website.  He also posted video lectures — hosted for free at YouTube — from well known terrorists like Osama bin Laden, Aw-Alaki and others to his Blogger website.  He even credited YouTube user “Jihad Princess” with helping him figure out how to use the Blogger format.

He said most of the photos on his site came from her and that she told him how to use the Google site Blogger — where she describes herself as “an islamic jihad enthusiast.”

Her profile is accompanied by a photo of a woman peeking out from a hijab. On another site, she says she was born in Yemen but lives in the United States.

No doubt the FBI and Homeland Security are already checking her out. — which might be why she’s been deleting stuff left and right.  Sort of like closing the gate after the cows get out.

A lot of people seem to be jumping on Mr. Lieberman  accusing him of only caring about it because it gets him in the spotlight.  Maybe.  But that’s beside the point.  My question is this:  how many arrests, how many almost terrorist events, how many demonstrable terrorist “hook-ups” are going to have to happen before Google is liable as an accomplice?  If they don’t do everything in their power to prevent their services being used by the terrorists, then they ARE complicit.

American Terrorists

Was doing some research for Internet Antropologist and found this very informative article.

We (and that’s a collective “we” including many different people and many different websites) have been saying this for a LONG time.  The violent postings of terrorist wannabe’s on the internet need to be taken seriously.  That’s why we’re so adamant that YouTube, Facebook and other social networks abide by their posted TOS.  The less outlets the terrorists have to congregate in, the more likely than can be caught.

Jihad’s Ugly American Face

…On July 10, Chesser was barred from boarding a flight New York to Uganda. According to an affidavit filed in the case, he admitted his intention was to travel to Somalia to fight for al-Shabaab. Chesser also said he brought his infant son with him as a cover “to avoid detection of his intention to join Al-Shabaab in Somalia,” the affidavit said.

Brachman calls would-be terrorists who graduated from posting jihadist rhetoric on the Internet to attempting to carry it out “jihobbyists.”

It is a fallacy to believe that such people don’t constitute a security threat. “There are so many [jihadists] that have a big online footprint before they go violent,” Brachman told the IPT.

For example, Faisal Shahzad, who pled guilty in the May Times Square plot, reportedly blogged on jihadist websites dating back to 2006. Hasan corresponded with Awlaki and other radicals via the Internet prior to the Fort Hood killings. Colleen LaRose, AKA “Jihad Jane,” posted frequently in favor of jihad prior to her arrest on charges of providing material support to terrorism and plotting to kill a Swedish cartoonist for depicting the prophet Muhammad.

The trend of American jihadists moving from advocacy to armed violence is likely to accelerate. For years, jihadists had accepted the concept that some of them would engage in violence while others could help with online advocacy, Brachman said. But he senses that this outlook is shifting dramatically. The turning point was a December 30 suicide bombing in Khost, Afghanistan which killed seven CIA officials and a Jordanian official. The bomber was Humam al-Balawi, a double agent and a prolific jihadist blogger.

“That was a definitive moment for how jihobbyists thought of themselves,” Brachman told the IPT. In the wake of Balawi’s suicide attack, “the new mindset we’ve seen is that it’s no longer acceptable just to support violent jihad online.”

Jihad using the Internet and social media is now regarded “as a staging ground and not an end in itself,” Brachman said.

Go read the entire thing – it’s a who’s who of American terrorists.  And how they got there.

JihadTube strikes again

From the WTH category…

Terrorist loving rich white trash Zachie-boy is upset because *gasp* YouTube removed terrorist videos, after which YouTube reveals just how far they have their collective heads stuck up their own butts.

From RevolutionMuslim as documented by  Allahakchew aka SH at the Jawa Report with props to Howie:

YouTub[sp] senior official Victoria Grand told the participants of the international conference about the latest scandalous story on this issue. It was about the video statement of the Caucasus Emirate’s Emir Dokku Umarov, which was posted on the portal after the sabotage operations in the Moscow subway.

After this statement was seen in 3 days by more than 600 thousand people, YouTube removed it from its server.

Victoria Grand explained what happened in this way.

“It was really a difficult decision and we had a lot of internal debates on this topic. Moreover, it was the material being showed on news channels, so, it had a news value. But Russian authorities took a tough stance on this issue and said that it is almost outside the law“, said Grand.

As a result, according to Ms Grand, YouTube decided to remove this particular video material. However, at the same time, she stressed that this does not mean that there are no other versions of this video statement of Dokku Umarov on YouTube.

“You can still find on YouTube a lot of materials of this kind, such as a video from training camp of Taliban, and no one removed this video. Everything always depends on context” Grand summed up.

Well let’s see, Victoria.  Just what context would make it appropriate for YouTube to continue hosting videos for terrorists so that they might recruit and propagandize in order to kill more people like you?  I’m really just wondering about that.   I can’t believe how freaking ignorant these people are!  Do they really believe that the sharia-law loving terrorists are going to allow them to continue with free speech if they gain control of the west, which is what all those terrorist propaganda videos are there for?  Wake the hell up!!!

Allachew said it best….

JihadTube, the go to site for terrorist propaganda.

Reporting Terrorism II

BIG H/T to David who posted this video in the comments on the Reporting Terrorism post.  I am reposting it as it’s own post, so it will appear on my page.

You can’t get any plainer than that.  YouTube is helping to raise funds for terrorist organizations through their YouTube Partners Program:

Thank you for your interest in the YouTube Partner Program. Applications are reviewed for a variety of criteria, including but not limited to the size of your audience, country of residence, quality of content, and consistency with our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use. Please note: if your application is not approved, you will not be able to apply to the program again for 2 months.

The YouTube Partner Program is intended for users who want to generate revenue from their existing audience. If you are more interested in increasing your audience, you may want to start with the YouTube Promoted Videos program first.

So let’s get this straight – this extremist’s views must be consistent with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Use in order to be a partner.

Well, that certainly clears a lot up.

I guess that explains why at least two users have received strikes against their accounts for this DoD video which they uploaded to their channels .  The video shows  our U.S. military exercising restraint while watching a terrorist assemble an IED, only to see the terrorist blow himself to hell.

The user linked here was given a strike, but upon appeal it was removed and the video was reinstated.  No clue on why the other two users didn’t get their videos reinstated.  The same guy who approved the terrorist fundraiser as a YouTube partner must have reviewed their videos.

What is demonstrated is that YouTube would rather bend over backwards and kiss the backsides of terrorists and terrorist wannabes than to stand in solidarity with the coalition forces.  Thanks for the clarity, YouTube.  Not that we are surprised in the least.

Reporting terrorism

FoxNews’ affiliate in Philadelphia interviewed homeland security expert Jack Tomarchio…

Jack addressed the fact that an increasing amount of Americans are being recuited by terrorists to train in countries such as Pakistan.    The internet is playing a major role is recruitment – just take a look at  ‘Jihad Jane’.

Jack stated, “There are 9,000 jihadi websites right now and it is very hard to stop these things.”

When asked what we, the citizens should do to protect ourselves and our cities, he said, “We do not need to be paranoid, we need to be watchful.”

But really,  isn’t it more than that?  It would have been helpful for the interview to continue with information on what to do if you think that you have information on a terrorist or terrorist-to-be.  There are steps here and  here for what to do with information you may have.

Notify local police.  Notify the FBI.  Notify Homeland Security.  These agencies are trained and sometimes your piece of the puzzle may seem insignificant, but added together with other pieces a true picture may emerge.

It’s going to take more than simply “watching” what’s going on – you need to act.

Responses to RevolutionMuslim “fatwa” on South Park Creators

It was inevitable.  Mess with Americans and they will mess with you back.

The one positive thing that has come out of this whole hissy fit by the terrorist loving RevolutionMuslim and Mujahidblog threatening…er…I mean warning Trey and Matt of South Park is that people who but a week ago were completely clueless to what those calling for a caliphate would like to do to this country are now paying attention.  So for that, I suppose we can thank momma’s boy Zachary Adam Chesser.

I bet his daddy is soooo proud of what he’s become.  I can’t help but wonder if momma pays for his internet service.  Does she wear a burka?  How’s a college dropout going to support a family?  Of course he must bring his little family to live with momma.  Does he get welfare checks?  Seriously dude, stop posting on the internet and  grow up!  The laughter you hear is not “people laughing with you.”  The more you post, the more we laugh.

OH!  And I forgot….

If I had known it was so offensive I would have said it before!  I’m just that kinda person.  And no, we are not calling for the extinction of all muslims…just the ones that want to bring an end to our way of life.  If you want a caliphate, move to some other place.  We don’t want it here.  You’ve been warned.

YouTube’s Terrorist Tolerance

Well, yesterday, yet another YouTuber was arrested.  This time is was Norman Leboon, Sr. for threatening to kill Eric Cantor, the Virginia Congressman.

From the Philadelpia Inquirer

Norman Leboon, 38, of the 1600 block of Benner Street in Mayfair, was charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia with two counts involving threats against U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor, the Republican House whip.

Leboon was arrested Saturday by the FBI, three days after his YouTube video was seen by someone in San Francisco and reported to the FBI.

Well how about that?  Someone posted threats on YouTube?  Say it isn’t so!  The funny (or not so funny) thing is that it’s just possible that the FBI ignored Leboon’s brother’s reporting on his brother because, well, threats are nothing new at YouTube.  They are everywhere.

YouTuber AllahAkChew had a threat posted on her channel just today by user MujahidAK74U .  Even the user names are threatening — take killkuffs for example.  It doesn’t take a lot of cognitive ability to realize that “killkuffs” means kill kafir — kafir being the term that muslims use for non-believers.  Then there are all the terrorist avatars that YouTube ignores.  If you think I’m kidding, just go look through the avatars on IslamicRevolutionTV’s subscribers page.  Here are a few samples:

And then there are the backgrounds that people put on their channels, which are a whole other story.  The point is, YouTube turns a blind eye every day to the hatred and violence and threats and thereby hosts a culture of threats and violence.

And if a user is suspended, they just come back under a new user ID like Colleen LaRose did, while again, YouTube turns a blind eye.  Their policies state that you are not allowed to make a new ID when you are suspended, but it’s up to the community to bring it to YouTube’s attention.  I can understand that they have so much video uploaded every day, yada, yada, yada.  Just because something is difficult to do, you are not absolved of your responsibilities.  (“Yeah, Mr. IRS man, those tax forms are just too difficult…”  Wonder how that’d work out…! )

How many true believer whackjobs like Colleen LaRose, Normal Leboon or Nidal Hassan is it going to take for YouTube to own their responsibility?  Yeah — it’s rhetorical.  The answer is, most likely never.

A friend has come up with another way to hold Google/YouTube’s feet to the fire though, and it is ingenious.  Google and YouTube have advertisers.  I doubt those advertisers would be happy to see their ads on pages that advocate things like killing U.S. Congressmen or wiping out the Jews.  Maybe a hit in the pocketbook is the cattleprod we need to wake up Google/YouTube.

All hands on deck – let’s roll!
