Nothing like messing with terrorists….

The Jawas and Internet Anthropologist have me in stitches. And just for good measure….

Highwinds Update 2

Content is still up…. Just in case you’re wondering. I’m beginning to consider the “hypocrites” tag for the Highwinds posts. I’ll keep checking.

Is this the next Abdulmutallab?

I have a Google Alert set up that snags things off the
internet and today it included this:

Operation by the Mujahid brother Omar Al-Farooq the Nigerian

Azzam Al Qitall –

So decided to click through and see what that was all

Beneath the picture of the epic fail
terrorist is this post….

Yada yada yada.  Blah blah blah.
(yeah — I cut out a bunch)  But then there’s this:

This, my friends, is a call to kill our
countrymen.  WordPress is normally very responsive when we bring sites like
this to their attention, and I have no doubt that they will be again.  I am
just wondering if the current administration will see fit to monitor people like
this now, or will he wait until one of these attacks succeed?   Maybe
they will be reaching out to the terrorists.   But whatever they
decide to do, there is no doubt that these people exist and want us dead.
Period.  No amount of "reaching out" will change it.

In the “terrorists use the internet” category….

From Reuters via The JIDF:

Abdulmutallab’s Internet postings on Facebook and Islamist chatrooms while he was at school in Togo and at university show a lonely youth struggling between extreme Islamic views and liberalism, according to the Washington Post.

..Posting under the name Farouk1986, he wrote of Arabic language studies in Yemen and plans to apply to Stanford and other leading U.S. universities as well as feelings of depression and loneliness, the newspaper said.

Poor fella. Obviously his loneliness and poverty caused him to want to blow up a plane full of innocent people. Or maybe he found comfort among the wide variety of jihadist material found all over Facebook (despite their Terms of Service against such activity, which Facebook does not fully enforce…)

Couldn’t have put it better myself…

YouTube user LearnToReadTheQuran…the next Hasan?

We report – you decide.

Looks like he’s into threatening people. Apparently user “HirabistHunter” attempted to notify YouTube of the threats, but found no way to do so and then put together a video.

Highwinds update

Of note: the videos are still available on the terrorist website at last check this morning. Giving the benefit of the doubt — it is the holidays after all and things just generally move more slowly. Just keeping an eye on it at this point….

Highwinds sees the light!

Got this today —

Thank you for your reply. We will remove this content.

Apparently their investigation revealed what we knew — they were being used by terrorists.
