Weiner vs. YouTube **UPDATE**

NY Daily News

Rep. Anthony Weiner wants YouTube to pull down more than 700 clips of Anwar al-Awlaki, the Yemeni-American cleric who inspired the Fort Hood massacre and Christmas undies bomber.

“We are facilitating the recruitment of homegrown terror,” Weiner told the Daily News, demanding the popular online video site take action.

“There is no reason we should give killers like al-Awlaki access to one of the world’s largest bully pulpits so they can inspire more violent acts within our borders, or anywhere else in the world,” Weiner added.

Welcome to the party,  Mr. Weiner.  You’d think that YouTube would have the sense to do this themselves.  Or that they might actually be responsive to calls from within the YouTube community to do it.  Especially since those Awlaki videos are in direct opposition to their terms of service.

Senator Lieberman had a little success once upon a time.  Here’s hoping you have more success.  And from our experience at YouTube Smackdown, YouTube may remove a few, here and there, while they are on the hot seat.  But as soon as John Q. Public’s fickle attention turns elsewhere, they’ll slack off again.

And YouTube sends a rejoinder.  From WeaselZippers….

In a statement e-mailed to CNN on Monday, YouTube said its community guidelines “prohibit videos that promote dangerous or illegal activities (including bomb-making, sniper attacks, or other terrorist acts), contain hate speech, and videos that are posted with the purpose of inciting others to commit specific, serious acts of violence. In addition, we remove all videos and terminate any account known to be registered by a member of a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and used in an official capacity to further the interests of the FTO. We review all videos brought to our attention through community flagging 7 days a week, and routinely remove content that violates our policies, usually in under an hour.”

A CNN search showed that several videos featuring Al-Awlaki had been removed from the site, with messages saying that the removals were due to violations of YouTube’s “policy of depiction of harmful activities” or “Community Guidelines.”

ROFL!  “Several?”  Really??  Ok – it’s really not funny, but it’s so ludicrous you can’t help but laugh at their idiocy!  Just look for yourself.   According to the NY Daily News article, “as many as 750 Awlaki YouTube videos have been viewed some 3.5 million times.”  So what – did they remove 5?  10?  C’mon YouTube, can’t you see how stupid you are?

Zachary Chesser’s Treason: True remorse or Taqiyya?

His attorney, federal public defender Michael Nachmanoff, said Chesser is “deeply remorseful” for his actions.

“This case is very different from some of the recent terrorism cases that have been in the news,” Nachmanoff said after the hearing. “Mr. Chesser has renounced violent jihad and he’s accepted responsibility.”

Who knows?  Seriously.  I ask that question.  It’s one I struggle with a lot.  As a westerner, I’d like to believe that he’s seriously sorry.  But I can’t help that needling doubt about it, especially since I know that Islam permits lying to kafir (which our government most certainly is!) to further the cause of Islam.  It’s called Taqiyya – you can read about it here and here.  I am sure that Zackie boy is well-versed in the teaching.  So how the heck are we to trust him?  Simply put, we can’t.  I’m sorry if that sounds harsh, but when you are known to teach that lying is ok, anything that comes out of your mouth could be a lie.

I actually feel sorry for his parents and for his wife’s parents as well.  All indications are that they were not in agreement with the behavior of their children.  Proscovia’s mom took her daughter’s passport so as to prevent her from going to join Al-Shabab.  No doubt the woman actually cares about her grandchild and understood the implications of what her idiot daughter was planning to do.  More power to you, mom!

So anyway, in this story from WTOP, the story seems to imply that Zachie boy pled guilty in order to lessen the penalty to his wife.  Maybe he’s still more westernized than I gave him credit for.

The plea bargain spares Chesser’s wife, Proscovia Kampire Nzabanita, from being prosecuted as Chesser’s accomplice, although she is expected to plead guilty to lesser charges of giving false statements to authorities.

Chesser’s parents, who were in court for Wednesday’s hearing, declined comment.

I sincerely hope that the judge throws the book at both of these kids.  A strong message needs to be sent.  Zack spent many, many hours posting all sorts of threats and implied threats on the internet – many of them documented here.  The FBI watched him patiently for quite a while and built quite an extensive library of these threats I would think.  The evidence is overwhelming, and hopefully the court will remember this when it comes time for sentencing.  I would also hope that Zack spends his time behind bars in solitary confinement, so that if this is taqiyya, he will not be able to further poison the already tumultuous prison population with his violent jihadism.

In reality, Zack should be being tried for treason.

Oran’s Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as “…[a]…citizen‘s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].”

There is little doubt that Zack’s intentions were to instigate acts of war in our country and/or seriously injure our nation by way of killing it’s citizens.  This is the US Law on Treason:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

From the original article:

In a statement, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Neil MacBride said: “Zachary Chesser seriously endangered the lives of innocent people who will remain at risk for many years to come. His solicitation of extremists to murder U.S. citizens also caused people throughout the country to fear speaking out _ even in jest _ lest they also be labeled as enemies who deserved to be killed.”

If that’s not treason, I don’t know what is.  From Wikipedia again:

…the United States Code at 18 U.S.C. § 2381 states “whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

Treason should most definitely be added to the charges – specifically.  People who betray our country need to know that we don’t take it lightly.  20 years imprisonment is an understandable at a minimum – and it needs to be fully served out.  Otherwise we just invite others to play Zack’s game with our laws.

Juan Williams

Just some random thoughts….

I do think that Mr. Williams has had his eyes open to the kind of treatment conservatives get every day they are around.  He has learned that people like Bill O’Reilly (who is a moderate, I believe) is a “stand up guy” and the conservative side gives you a fair shake, but when you question the lefty idiots, you get fired.  Hard pill to swallow for him, I’m sure.

By the way – where’s the NAACP and the ACLU – a white chick fired a black dude.  Aren’t you guys gonna pitch a fit or something?  Just askin’.

Am quite ecstatic that NPR might possibly (dare I hope?) lose their tax-payer funding over this.  I mean really – how else do you think they survive with their leftist agenda?  Of course, George Soros could always pull out the checkbook again.  Other than that, NPR would continue on the path of destruction so immaculately carved by Air America soon enough.  Businesses don’t want to buy advertisements on talk shows that do nothing but bash businesses.  Capitalism rules!  The only way they’ve made it so far is through the communistic distribution of the wealth and forced support by all taxpayers — including those like me who pretty much abhor their agenda.

Like I said – random thoughts.  I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round….

“Call me Senator!”

I was trying to embed this video here, but it’s not working.    GREAT ad for getting rid of  Ma’am Boxer.

Clicky thingy

Ahhh! Umm Talhah’s Islamic Parenting

So….sounds like Zachie-boy’s wifey (aka “hag in a bag” as named by a friend) is headed for some jail time, at the very least.  Apparently, in December 2009 she tried to get some parenting advice online.

I wonder if they told her it was ok to let her idiot husband take their infant son to go join up with As-Sahab.  One can only speculate.  Maybe she needed some ideas for Christmas gifts for her kid.  Oh – wait.  Maybe not.

Things that make you say “Hmmm…..”

A friend noted a new suspension notice posted at YouTube…

Intriguing.  And yeah – I’m cynical.  They sound tough, but it will probably only last until the heat is off.

Barbara Boxer: Traitor for Senate

A friend sent me a link this morning to a story over at Gateway Pundit this morning.  By no stretch of the imagination am I a Barbara Boxer fan, but to say I was stunned by this story is an understatement.

On October 12, Scott Swett at the American Thinker reported that Senator Barabara Boxer (D-CA) along with Representatives Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Henry Waxman (D-CA) secured diplomatic courtesy letters that allowed anti-American Code Pink activists to travel to Fallujah, Iraq. The radicals traveled to Fallujah in late 2004 to donate $600,000 worth of humanitarian aid to the people who had just killed 51 Americans and wounded 560 more earlier that month. Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah was the heaviest US urban combat since the Vietnam War.

After the report was published at American Thinker the article was deleted at Islam Online.

But, thanks to the internet archive a copy of the article is still available.

If you check the source, you can see an image of the Islam Online post and read the rest of the story.  Absolutely mind-boggling that the “please call me ‘Senator'” wench would go so far.  The disdain that the madam had for the military could not have been more evident than when she rudely spoke down to Brigadier General Michael Walsh during hearings about Hurricane Katrina last June.  But to actively participate in helping and organization gain access to and financially support known terrorists?  I truly am having a hard believing that she would go there.  But the evidence exists.  The google webcache is an amazing tool.  People believe that once they remove a webpage from the internet, it’s gone.  But as is proved here, that’s not always the case.

So I was curious who would be taking up for this traitorous woman.  Anyone?  Well, of course, Media Matters is all over it.

Another day, another outrageous allegation launched against a Democrat with zero evidence. The sensationalist, not even vaguely accurate Big Government headline from reliably inane blogger Jim Hoft states: “Barbara Boxer Approved Code Pink Trip to Fallujah to Donate $600,000 to Extremists.” Hoft baselessly accused Sen. Boxer of “aiding and abetting terrorists to kill US soldiers,” citing a recent American Thinker post that also provided no evidence for the claim. Here’s the charge as laid out in the American Thinker by Scott Swett… blah blah blah blah.

Dude.  Look at the googlecache.  And think a little.  In June of 2004, ABC news reported that the US Military was urging the residents to leave Fallujah and it was well known that Fallujah was about to be ground zero for fight.  The people who stuck around were the terrorists/insurgents and their families.  It is these families to whom Medea and her Code Pink idiots took the aid and comfort in late 2004.  So quit whining about evidence until you can produce some to the contrary.

More evidence here and here and here.  And ok – ya got him on this one:

Hoft says the delegation “traveled to Fallujah,” but a December 28, 2004, AP article on the trip itself has them only going as far  as Jordan, reporting: “Parents of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq emotionally expressed their opposition to the war and occupation  Tuesday during a visit to Jordan as part of a humanitarian aid campaign to help Iraqis displaced by fighting in Fallujah last month” [accessed via Nexis].

But just in case you failed your geography tests, Jordan shares a border with Iraq.  And while it’s approximately 200 miles fromthe Jordan border to  Fallujah, it’s safe to say that Jordan was as close as they were allowed to get. The point remains the same.  Ma’am Boxer and Henry Waxman and Dennis Kucinich enabled Code Pink to aid and abet the insurgency in Iraq by getting them a pass to deliver goods to the insurgents’ families.  Chasing rabbit trails in your article doesn’t change the facts.  Ma’am Boxer is a traitor to her country.

Where is the MSM?  Am I surprised?  Nope.

NPR is starting to get it

Revolution Muslim has its own gossamer connections to terrorism. A list of its recent members reads like a who’s who of American homegrown terrorism suspects. One has been arrested for wanting to launch an attack on the Long Island Rail Road for al-Qaida; three others were intercepted getting on flights to join a terrorist group in Somalia. An editor believed to be behind an online magazine for al-Qaida’s arm in Yemen was a regular in Revolution Muslim chat rooms, as was Jihad Jane, the Philadelphia woman arrested last year for plotting to kill a Danish cartoonist.

Of the two-dozen homegrown plots in the United States in the past year, Revolution Muslim was linked to one-third of them…

All I can say is welcome to the party.

ABC’s Moderate Muslim – RevolutionMuslim’s Sadiq Abdul Malik

Kudos to Acts17Apologetics who has a blog called “Answering Muslims”  for this video exposing the stupidity of ABC and Diane Sawyer.  Check out his blog for more great stuff! PWN3D – Maybe not – still working to figure it out

UPDATE: I have been checking regularly and the site still appears to be up, and still traces back to HostMonster/BlueHost.  The other site also is still reporting that they are suspended, so I’m not sure what that’s about, but is still up and operational as of yesterday afternoon, 10/12.

I got confirmation from a couple other folks and they get the same as I do when they look at the site:

It remains to be seen if this is temporary or permanent.  We’ll be watching!  And if it is permanent, kudos to BlueHost/Hostmonster for taking out the trash.

Backstory here and here.

Just to be clear – the website taken down is the mouthpiece of this guy – the most honest muslim ever:
