A friend sent me a link this morning to a story over at Gateway Pundit this morning. By no stretch of the imagination am I a Barbara Boxer fan, but to say I was stunned by this story is an understatement.
On October 12, Scott Swett at the American Thinker reported that Senator Barabara Boxer (D-CA) along with Representatives Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Henry Waxman (D-CA) secured diplomatic courtesy letters that allowed anti-American Code Pink activists to travel to Fallujah, Iraq. The radicals traveled to Fallujah in late 2004 to donate $600,000 worth of humanitarian aid to the people who had just killed 51 Americans and wounded 560 more earlier that month. Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah was the heaviest US urban combat since the Vietnam War.
After the report was published at American Thinker the article was deleted at Islam Online.
But, thanks to the internet archive a copy of the article is still available.
If you check the source, you can see an image of the Islam Online post and read the rest of the story. Absolutely mind-boggling that the “please call me ‘Senator'” wench would go so far. The disdain that the madam had for the military could not have been more evident than when she rudely spoke down to Brigadier General Michael Walsh during hearings about Hurricane Katrina last June. But to actively participate in helping and organization gain access to and financially support known terrorists? I truly am having a hard believing that she would go there. But the evidence exists. The google webcache is an amazing tool. People believe that once they remove a webpage from the internet, it’s gone. But as is proved here, that’s not always the case.
So I was curious who would be taking up for this traitorous woman. Anyone? Well, of course, Media Matters is all over it.
Another day, another outrageous allegation launched against a Democrat with zero evidence. The sensationalist, not even vaguely accurate Big Government headline from reliably inane blogger Jim Hoft states: “Barbara Boxer Approved Code Pink Trip to Fallujah to Donate $600,000 to Extremists.” Hoft baselessly accused Sen. Boxer of “aiding and abetting terrorists to kill US soldiers,” citing a recent American Thinker post that also provided no evidence for the claim. Here’s the charge as laid out in the American Thinker by Scott Swett… blah blah blah blah.
Dude. Look at the googlecache. And think a little. In June of 2004, ABC news reported that the US Military was urging the residents to leave Fallujah and it was well known that Fallujah was about to be ground zero for fight. The people who stuck around were the terrorists/insurgents and their families. It is these families to whom Medea and her Code Pink idiots took the aid and comfort in late 2004. So quit whining about evidence until you can produce some to the contrary.
Hoft says the delegation “traveled to Fallujah,” but a December 28, 2004, AP article on the trip itself has them only going as far as Jordan, reporting: “Parents of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq emotionally expressed their opposition to the war and occupation Tuesday during a visit to Jordan as part of a humanitarian aid campaign to help Iraqis displaced by fighting in Fallujah last month” [accessed via Nexis].
But just in case you failed your geography tests, Jordan shares a border with Iraq. And while it’s approximately 200 miles fromthe Jordan border to Fallujah, it’s safe to say that Jordan was as close as they were allowed to get. The point remains the same. Ma’am Boxer and Henry Waxman and Dennis Kucinich enabled Code Pink to aid and abet the insurgency in Iraq by getting them a pass to deliver goods to the insurgents’ families. Chasing rabbit trails in your article doesn’t change the facts. Ma’am Boxer is a traitor to her country.
Where is the MSM? Am I surprised? Nope.
