Brats at “Don’t Marry A Soldier” not worthy of a soldier’s love

It’s a good thing that the military men I know will do their jobs and protect the idiots anyway.

Most disgusting web post I have seen in a very long time…Don’t Marry A Soldier.

My answers back… a few reasons to marry a military man….

1. Suicide rates of males in the US –> 19.8/100,000.   Suicide rates in the military –>  20.2/100,000  Yep, it’s higher.  Pardon my eyerolls at the SLIGHT difference.

2. Military men are good fathers and they teach their children what it means to be a man of honor.

3. Military men are as “whipped into shape” on the inside as they are on the outside.

4. A military man is more interested in helping the underdogs of this world than in appearing politically correct to a bunch of wussy war protesters.

5. Military men provide well for their families.

6. You will move a lot!  But you will be part of a huge family of people who know what it’s like – a brotherhood and sisterhood like no other!  What an adventure!

7. Military men show by their actions that the least among us are worth saving.

There are so many absolutely shallow, disgusting things said on that site – and if you believe what’s there to be the truth, you are not worthy to marry a military man.  God bless the military men (and women) of our country who do their jobs so whiny babies like the ones at the website linked above can post their snotty posts.

Fred Phelps went down to Mississippi, looking for trouble…and found it!

It’s been a rough few weeks for the Westboro Baptist Church and Phreddy-boy.  First, th3j35t3r took their little websites offline – and at last check they are still “TANGO DOWN.”  In frustration, Phreddy’s inbred “church” claimed that they themselves had taken the sites down to “reboot” them.  That’s one heck of a LONG reboot!  LULZ!

So now the good people of Mississippi have found out how to deal with these addle-pates.  On Saturday USMC Staff Sgt. Jason Rogers, who was killed in action in Afghanistan April 7, was buried in Brandon, Mississippi.  And ol’ Phreddy and his inbreds decided it’d be great fun to show up and harass the grieving family.  But the residents of Brandon has other ideas.

From an Ole Miss Sports Message Board via The Hayride:

A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.

Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.

A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.

BWAAAAHAHAHAAA!!  You gotta LOVE those southern patriots!  I can just hear them in their best Foghorn Leghorn impersonation saying in a deep southern drawl: “You just get on up outta heah and don’t you evah come back!  You heah me, boy?”

Here’s to you, boys!

Its a southern point of honor
You got a get right in on the action
You can hear the outlaws holler

Good news from Afghanistan

General Petraeus’ COMISAF Assessment via Michael Yon:

My favorite line:

“Now in fact the insurgents are increasingly responding to our operations rather than vice-versa, and there are numerous reports of unprecedented discord among the members of Quetta Shura, the Taliban senior leadership body.”

Sounds like the effort is worthwhile, nevermind that Obama doesn’t appear to support anything successful.  Seems to me that when we win this war is will be in spite of the CIC rather than because of him.

Kudos to the citizens of Harrisonville, MO!

Way to go Harrisonville, MO!

From KCCI:

There was a brief scuffle Tuesday morning between members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church and hundreds of people who turned out to support the family of a Missouri soldier killed in action, reported KMBC in Kansas City.

Jacob Carver, 20, was killed recently by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan. His funeral is being held Tuesday in Harrisonville, Mo..Many people said they were attending Carver’s funeral to block protesters from the Topeka, Kan., church.

There appeared to have been some shoving between some of the protesters and church members. Police were able to break up the incident. At one point, the van belonging to Westboro members was surrounded. But they were able to leave the area without any further confrontation.

And that’s how we take out the trash!

To the family and friends of Jacob Carver – prayers and thoughts coming your way.  Jacob is a hero.  May God grant you comfort and peace.

Kiss Rocks the Troops – God bless ’em all!

What a way to start the day!

H/T Kathy.

A Tale of Two Zacharys

The first is Zachary Chesser, a spoiled rotten kid from Virginia. From what I am hearing on the street, the kid’s parents did everything for him — sent him to the right schools, picked up the tab for his time at George Mason University (not inexpensive – the chart I checked put it at $16,000+ if he lived at home or $21,000 if he lived in the residence halls.) I have written about him ad nauseum. He called for the death — oh wait — warned of the impending death the South Park guys for their depiction of Mohammed. He bragged about how to handle the FBI. By his own admission upon his arrest by the FBI as he was attempting to leave the country to join Shabaab, he isn’t on speaking terms with his parents at this point. He is a traitor to our country and has brought shame to his family. What a waste of youth and vitality.

The second Zachary, though, is everything that is right about our country. SGT Zachary Fisher, 24 years old, gave his life for us. Zachary Fisher chose to give of himself. He leaves behind a wife, a mom, a dad, siblings and friends who loved him deeply and will miss him incredibly.

He touched his community and brought out the best in everyone who surrounded him. Some might say that this is equally tragic. I would too — except for one thing. SGT Zachary Fisher brought honor to his family, his men and his community. He is gone, and he will be greatly missed. That is not a tragedy. That is a beautiful testament to a life well lived. Vaya con Dios, SGT Fisher. Heaven needed a hero.

Memorial Day

It is good to stop and remember…

To all who have defended this great nation from her enemies and to all who are doing so today, thank you.  You make me indescribably proud to be an American.

To those in the field today, I pray for your safety and success.  I know that my family could not sleep peacefully at night were it not for you and your sacrifices.  I can never repay to you the debt I owe, but I humbly offer my appreciation.  God bless you!

To our troops: Thank you
