Zachary Chesser’s Treason: True remorse or Taqiyya?

His attorney, federal public defender Michael Nachmanoff, said Chesser is “deeply remorseful” for his actions.

“This case is very different from some of the recent terrorism cases that have been in the news,” Nachmanoff said after the hearing. “Mr. Chesser has renounced violent jihad and he’s accepted responsibility.”

Who knows?  Seriously.  I ask that question.  It’s one I struggle with a lot.  As a westerner, I’d like to believe that he’s seriously sorry.  But I can’t help that needling doubt about it, especially since I know that Islam permits lying to kafir (which our government most certainly is!) to further the cause of Islam.  It’s called Taqiyya – you can read about it here and here.  I am sure that Zackie boy is well-versed in the teaching.  So how the heck are we to trust him?  Simply put, we can’t.  I’m sorry if that sounds harsh, but when you are known to teach that lying is ok, anything that comes out of your mouth could be a lie.

I actually feel sorry for his parents and for his wife’s parents as well.  All indications are that they were not in agreement with the behavior of their children.  Proscovia’s mom took her daughter’s passport so as to prevent her from going to join Al-Shabab.  No doubt the woman actually cares about her grandchild and understood the implications of what her idiot daughter was planning to do.  More power to you, mom!

So anyway, in this story from WTOP, the story seems to imply that Zachie boy pled guilty in order to lessen the penalty to his wife.  Maybe he’s still more westernized than I gave him credit for.

The plea bargain spares Chesser’s wife, Proscovia Kampire Nzabanita, from being prosecuted as Chesser’s accomplice, although she is expected to plead guilty to lesser charges of giving false statements to authorities.

Chesser’s parents, who were in court for Wednesday’s hearing, declined comment.

I sincerely hope that the judge throws the book at both of these kids.  A strong message needs to be sent.  Zack spent many, many hours posting all sorts of threats and implied threats on the internet – many of them documented here.  The FBI watched him patiently for quite a while and built quite an extensive library of these threats I would think.  The evidence is overwhelming, and hopefully the court will remember this when it comes time for sentencing.  I would also hope that Zack spends his time behind bars in solitary confinement, so that if this is taqiyya, he will not be able to further poison the already tumultuous prison population with his violent jihadism.

In reality, Zack should be being tried for treason.

Oran’s Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as “…[a]…citizen‘s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].”

There is little doubt that Zack’s intentions were to instigate acts of war in our country and/or seriously injure our nation by way of killing it’s citizens.  This is the US Law on Treason:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

If that’s not treason, I don’t know what is.  From Wikipedia again:

…the United States Code at 18 U.S.C. § 2381 states “whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

Treason should most definitely be added to the charges – specifically.  People who betray our country need to know that we don’t take it lightly.  20 years imprisonment is an understandable at a minimum – and it needs to be fully served out.  Otherwise we just invite others to play Zack’s game with our laws.

YouTube: Boobies can’t be used to make fun of terrorists

So YouTube definitely has issues.  A friend put together this funny video – a Nasheed actually – which is nothing more than an Islamic song.  But see, the muslims like their Nasheeds to praise things like, oh, Mujahideen, Taliban, other violent stuff like that.  My friend wanted to praise boobies!  All hail boobies!  The funny thing is, the original video is on YouTube here, but when my friend added a terrorist flag at the beginning (which he borrowed from other videos at YouTube) and and called it a Nasheed, it got taken down by YouTube.  And lest you think that it was the terrorist flag that did it, there are literally hundreds upon hundreds of videos with terrorist flags and they don’t get taken down.  So here’s the offending video, hosted at another site, complete with terrorist flags.

So what can we take away from this?

Does a terrorist flag or logo get a video removed from YouTube?  No.

Do boobies get a video removed from YouTube? No.

Does poking fun at terrorists get your video removed from YouTube?  Absolutely.

Hey YouTube – we know what side you’re on.  Traitors.

Addendum:  Just to belabor the point a little, the video removed from YouTube was not used to poke fun at muslims.  It was poking fun at terrorists.  Peace-loving muslims would not be watching a video with a terrorist flag/logo on it, therefore peace-loving muslims would not be offended by it.  The people who would be offended by this juxtaposition of images are TERRORISTS and TERRORIST SYMPATHIZERS.
