Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya, Superman!

I guess I’m just a little PO’d today.  What the heck?

From Comics Alliance:

While this wouldn’t be this first time a profoundly American comic book icon disassociated himself from his national identity — remember when Captain America became Nomad? — this could be a very significant turning point for Superman if its implications carry over into other storylines. Indeed, simply saying that “truth, justice and the American way [is] not enough anymore” is a pretty startling statement from the one man who has always represented those values the most.

It doesn’t seem that he’s abandoning those values, however, only trying to implement them on a larger scale and divorce himself from the political complexities of nationalism. Superman also says that he believes he has been thinking “too small,” that the world is “too connected” for him to limit himself with a purely national identity. As an alien born on another planet, after all, he “can’t help but see the bigger picture.”

So what do you think – am I being too harsh?  Somehow this “global” thing just aggravates me.  Next thing you know he’ll be trying to save us from climate change or some other nonsense.  Oh…wait

Brats at “Don’t Marry A Soldier” not worthy of a soldier’s love

It’s a good thing that the military men I know will do their jobs and protect the idiots anyway.

Most disgusting web post I have seen in a very long time…Don’t Marry A Soldier.

My answers back… a few reasons to marry a military man….

1. Suicide rates of males in the US –> 19.8/100,000.   Suicide rates in the military –>  20.2/100,000  Yep, it’s higher.  Pardon my eyerolls at the SLIGHT difference.

2. Military men are good fathers and they teach their children what it means to be a man of honor.

3. Military men are as “whipped into shape” on the inside as they are on the outside.

4. A military man is more interested in helping the underdogs of this world than in appearing politically correct to a bunch of wussy war protesters.

5. Military men provide well for their families.

6. You will move a lot!  But you will be part of a huge family of people who know what it’s like – a brotherhood and sisterhood like no other!  What an adventure!

7. Military men show by their actions that the least among us are worth saving.

There are so many absolutely shallow, disgusting things said on that site – and if you believe what’s there to be the truth, you are not worthy to marry a military man.  God bless the military men (and women) of our country who do their jobs so whiny babies like the ones at the website linked above can post their snotty posts.

Fred Phelps went down to Mississippi, looking for trouble…and found it!

It’s been a rough few weeks for the Westboro Baptist Church and Phreddy-boy.  First, th3j35t3r took their little websites offline – and at last check they are still “TANGO DOWN.”  In frustration, Phreddy’s inbred “church” claimed that they themselves had taken the sites down to “reboot” them.  That’s one heck of a LONG reboot!  LULZ!

So now the good people of Mississippi have found out how to deal with these addle-pates.  On Saturday USMC Staff Sgt. Jason Rogers, who was killed in action in Afghanistan April 7, was buried in Brandon, Mississippi.  And ol’ Phreddy and his inbreds decided it’d be great fun to show up and harass the grieving family.  But the residents of Brandon has other ideas.

From an Ole Miss Sports Message Board via The Hayride:

A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.

Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.

A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.

BWAAAAHAHAHAAA!!  You gotta LOVE those southern patriots!  I can just hear them in their best Foghorn Leghorn impersonation saying in a deep southern drawl: “You just get on up outta heah and don’t you evah come back!  You heah me, boy?”

Here’s to you, boys!

Its a southern point of honor
You got a get right in on the action
You can hear the outlaws holler

Islamic World Forum brings radical GMB to the US; George Mason University attends

It’s been a while since anyone has blogged here.  Hirabist Hunter has been busy and I’m having computer issues which are currently being resolved.

This morning, Andrea from YouTube Smackdown Crew alerted me to a post at the Grendel Report regarding the Global Muslim Brotherhood.

The U.S.-Islamic World Forum, sponsored by the Brookings Institution, has reported that it’s 2011 event was held in the US for the first time and included a large number of individuals tied to the Global Muslim Brotherhood as well as their supporters including the following persons….

The Global Muslim Brotherhood has been well documented by the Jawa Report and CBN as being a Global terrorist influence.

From CBN:

Before Osama bin Laden formed al Qaeda, he belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood.  So did his top deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri and the 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

In addition, the terrorist group Hamas identifies itself as the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestinian branch.

Former FBI Special Agent John Guandolo told CBN News the United States must become more aware of the Brotherhood’s growing influence.

“Here in the United States, virtually every prominent Islamic organization is controlled and led by the Muslim Brotherhood,” said Gunadolo. “Why this is key, is because they see that they are going to destroy our Western civilization from within.”

The Brotherhood’s immediate goal, though, is an Islamic state in Egypt — and an end to that country’s peace treaty with Israel.

Looking through the article at the Grendel Report, I noticed the list of scholars who attended the Forum included “Peter Mandaville (George Mason University funded by International Institute of Islamic Thought).”  So the IIIT endowment of GMU’s Islamic Studies supports a guy who attends a forum that is populated and influenced by radical people who are tied to the Global Muslim Brotherhood.  Interesting.

So in our quest to discover what influences helped to radicalize Zach Chesser and Proscovia Nzabanita, maybe GMU’s Islamic Studies department needs a closer examination.  It would be a good place to start.

And why are we allowing them on our soil?  And what is Hillary doing there?  Yes – send an underling.  But sending Hillary makes them think we approve.  But then maybe the current administration does approve.
